SQLMoreResults stelt de applicatie in staat om meerdere sets resultaatrijen op te halen. Een Transact-SQL SELECT-instructie met een COMPUTE-clausule of een ingediende batch ODBC- of Transact-SQL-instructies, zorgt ervoor dat de SQL Server Native Client ODBC-driver meerdere resultaatsets genereert. SQL Server staat in beide gevallen niet toe dat een servercursor wordt gemaakt om de resultaten te verwerken. Daarom moet de ontwikkelaar ervoor zorgen dat de ODBC-instructie blokkerend is. De ontwikkelaar moet de teruggegeven gegevens opmaken of de ODBC-instructie annuleren voordat gegevens van andere actieve statements op de verbinding worden verwerkt.
Note
Een Transact-SQL SELECT-instructie met een COMPUTE-clausule wordt alleen ondersteund bij verbinding met een serverversie vóór SQL Server 2012 (11.x).
De ontwikkelaar kan eigenschappen bepalen van de kolommen en rijen van de resultaatsets die worden gegenereerd door de COMPUTE-clausule van een Transact-SQL SELECT-instructie. Voor meer details, zie SQLColAttribute.
Wanneer SQLMoreResults wordt aangeroepen met niet-opgehaalde data-rijen in de resultaatset, gaan die rijen verloren en worden rijgegevens uit de volgende resultaat-rijset beschikbaar gesteld.
