Kommentarer

För varje generation anger skräpinsamlaren ett tröskelvärde för allokeringar i den generationen. När storleken på allokeringarna överskrider det här tröskelvärdet utlöses en skräpinsamling för den generationen. Om tröskelvärdet för generation 2 till exempel är 20 MB (vilket innebär att 20 MB överlever generation 1-samlingar och höjs upp till generation 2), och mer än 20 MB har överlevt generation 1 och uppmanas till generation 2, kommer nästa skräpinsamling att försökas som en samling i generation 2. Om tröskelvärdet för den stora objekthögen (LOH) är 20 MB och appen har allokerat mer än 20 MB stora objekt, kommer nästa skräpinsamling också att försökas som en samling i generation 2 (eftersom LOH endast samlas in i gen2-skräpsamlingar).

Tröskelvärdena maxGenerationThreshold och largeObjectHeapThreshold styr hur mycket i förväg du meddelas innan en fullständig skräpinsamling inträffar. Ju större tröskelvärde, desto fler allokeringar kan ske mellan meddelandet och nästa fullständiga skräpinsamling.

Om du har situationer där en fullständig skräpinsamling av den vanliga språkkörningen skulle påverka programmets prestanda negativt kan du be om att få ett meddelande när körningen är på väg att göra en fullständig skräpinsamling och kringgå den samlingen genom att själv inducera en samling (med hjälp av Collect metoden) när förhållandena fortfarande är gynnsamma. Förutom att ändra schemat för skräpinsamling själv är fullständig GC-avisering användbar i följande scenarier:

  • Du övervakar metoden för en fullständig skräpinsamling och när du får ett meddelande om att en närmar sig minskar du datastorleken i realtid (till exempel genom att släppa vissa cacheposter). När skräpinsamlingen inträffar kan den därför frigöra mer minne.

  • Du övervakar slutförandet av en fullständig skräpinsamling så att du kan samla in statistik. Du kanske till exempel vill mäta storleken på heapen vid GC-slutförande så att du vet storleken på livedata. (Efter en fullständig GC är heapen i sin minsta storlek.)

När du registrerar dig för ett skräpinsamlingsmeddelande kan du meddelas när en fullständig skräpinsamling närmar sig och när den har slutförts. Det här mönstret liknar hur operativsystemet övervakar meddelanden med låg minnesanvändning.

Använd följande riktlinjer för att ange parametrarna maxGenerationThreshold och largeObjectHeapThreshold :

  • Ju större tröskelvärde, desto fler allokeringar sker mellan meddelandet och den fullständiga skräpinsamlingen.

    Ett större tröskelvärde ger fler möjligheter för körningen att söka efter en annalkande samling. Detta ökar sannolikheten för att du meddelas. Du bör dock inte ange tröskelvärdet för högt eftersom det resulterar i fler allokeringar innan körningen inducerar nästa samling.

    När du själv inducerar en samling vid avisering med ett högt tröskelvärde återtas färre objekt än vad som skulle frigöras av körningens nästa samling.

  • Ju mindre tröskelvärde, desto färre allokeringar mellan meddelande och fullständig skräpinsamling.
