Till exempel Type.GetType("Int32[]"). HasElementType returnerar true, men Type.GetType("Int32"). HasElementType returnerar false. HasElementType returnerar true också för "Int32*" och "Int32&".

Om den aktuella Type representerar en allmän typ, eller en typparameter i definitionen av en allmän typ eller allmän metod, returnerar falseden här egenskapen alltid .
