SQLMoreResults gör det möjligt för applikationen att hämta flera uppsättningar av resultatrader. Ett Transact-SQL SELECT-sats som innehåller en COMPUTE-sats, eller en inskickad batch ODBC- eller Transact-SQL-satser, får den SQL Server Native Client ODBC-drivrutinen att generera flera resultatuppsättningar. SQL Server tillåter inte att skapa en servermarkör för att bearbeta resultaten i något av fallen. Därför måste utvecklaren säkerställa att ODBC-uttalandet blockerar. Utvecklaren måste uttömma den returnerade datan eller avbryta ODBC-satsen innan data från andra aktiva satser på anslutningen bearbetas.

Ett Transact-SQL SELECT-uttalande som innehåller en COMPUTE-klausul stöds endast vid anslutning till en serverversion före SQL Server 2012 (11.x).
Utvecklaren kan bestämma egenskaper hos resultatuppsättningarna, kolumner och rader som genereras av COMPUTE-klausulen i ett Transact-SQL SELECT-sats. För mer detaljer, se SQLColAttribute.
När SQLMoreResults anropas med ohämtade datarader i resultatuppsättningen förloras dessa rader, och raddata från nästa resultatradmängd görs tillgänglig.
